Morning all 🙂
We have extremely limited signal here. Had an engineer out at start of the year, and he couldn't find a direct signal. At the time it wasn't an issue, as we were getting a steady 8-10mb. He said he thought we were getting signals bounced off everywhere (3 masts locally but we are in a valley).
We currently get around 5mb, but can drop to less than 0.5 for no reason, plus we have to move the router around to odd places!
Somewhere along the line, the router (4gee router 3) has started playing up. If you move ghd wires, it powers off. Ee no help, saying I'll have to take into a shop for repair. I haven't the time for that, and as we rely on wifi calling would leave us in an unacceptable situation. I asked if i could just buy a new router, and was told I couldn't without a new contract!!!
So I'm looking at getting one from a third party. But which kind to go for?
I was looking at the tp-link Archer MR600 V2, due to the antenna. I thought this might help with not having to site router in strangely balanced positions to get a signal.
I can't even find a 4gee home router 3 for sale 😞
I do have an engineer coming on Thursday to have another look for an antenna, but was thinking of ordering a router now, as Christmas rush is in full flow and arrival times are getting longer.
Any advice gratefully received:)

Archer MR600, personally not a fan of these, if your going to spend money try and get something with a higher spec (CAT rating).
what does the EE Coverage Checker tell you?
If you prefer you can Post Up your Post Code (or somewhere near you) but not your Address details, or if you prefer you can PM some info across, I could have a look.
