EE blocking Youtube, Channel 4 streaming but NOT BBC iPlayer

Hi EE,

As the evening of 6/07/24 my EE router started blocking streaming from Channel 4 (whilst watching content) and Youtube, but not BBC iPlayer.

After performing various diagnostics I have concluded the issue is directly related to EE blocking streaming from these sites. If I switch my devices to O2, they work fine. If I switch them back to EE they stop streaming. The Internet in terms of email, web browsing is working fine. Nothing has changed in my network and there are no parental controls applied.

My account has unlimited data and from what I can see the router has only used 82GB thus far (well within any data allowance cap).

I assume there is a glitch somewhere in the EE setup for my account.

Please advise on the issue,

Best regards,

DJ

Hi Customer Support,

The issue is related to an "18+ content lock" being "randomly applied" by the EE provisioning system! Tech Support removed the lock and applied to the account. Takes up to 24 hours to become fully operational.

I see already (within an hour) that Youtube that was blocked is now working.

Many thanks for your assistance,

DJ
