EE APN applied, connected but no data

Hi, hope someone can help

I have a contract EE SIM (tested and working in EE modem).  I've put it in a Teltonika TRM240 USB modem with aerial.  It connects to EE LTE, the access point is applied, but no data is passed to the PC.  What's the last step to make this a success?

Attached is the profile from an AT command tester and the view from Windows showing we have connection?  Why no data... What am I missing!

Thanks!!

Thanks - will try these and report back!

Hi @Matt_124

Forcing IPV4 was unsuccessful, it rejects the APN, only seems happy to connect on "IP Type: Default"

Connects but doesn't serve data.

@chistery   thanks, but that only an option for WiFi.  The device isn't a hot spot.  It's just a USB modem with aerial.  The default is "Private LTE network" but there's no way to change it.

Tried it today on a Windows 10 PC in case there was something going on there.

Same story "EE (LTE) Connected"  - yes!  APN Activated - yes!

But on the Browser  "No Internet"

"Troubleshooting" couldn't identify the problem.

Any tips on firewall?  It's all I've got left...

Do you have any ethernet cable plugged in to the ethernet port @ChrisMinto

If so can you unplug it and then try to browse internet?  If not, try and disable the ethernet port temporarily.

From your images it looks like the PC is trying to connect through the ethernet port rather than the USB modem, even though you have set it as default.

That's brilliant @Ali_A  - I had unplugged my USB-Windows connection but still had a local LAN connection (not on internet) - removing that and doing a network restart seemed to work - that's terrific.  Messy but terrific - thank you!

That's great news @ChrisMinto

Thanks for getting back to us with the outcome.

Glad this resolved the network block you were facing!

@Ali_A Been driving me crazy for over a month on and off trying to resolve it.

@Ali_A  do you know where that config item is held in Windows?  I do need to use my LAN to connect to hardware in the field - whenever I plug it back in I lose Internet - how do I tell Windows it's being silly?

Is your ethernet connection getting an IP address from something in your network? If it's configured with a default gateway, it probably conflicts with your USB device iP config, and then your PC will try and send traffic to the internet via the ethernet and fail.
