Data only SIM for Orbi router

I have just moved to a remote location with very limited signal. Purchased an Orbi LTE router and data only sim (as broadband is only 1Mb). Do I need to activate the sim and if so how do I receive the code as the router has no functionality for receiving texts! Thanks

@AmandaGee : There shouldn't be any need to activate the SIM.
