D-Link DWR-978

Shows 5g connected LED on the front, however in the settings page i have

MarcusGC_0-1705850671758.png

Download speeds seem to be in the upper range (60-80Mbps) of what I was receiving on an older 4g router.

EE website says i have 5G indoor and outdoor coverage.

My 5g phone will connect with full 5g signal, and will get around 100-120Mbps.

Any ideas anyone please?

@MarcusGC : What SIM have you got in it? Is it from T-Mobile? They are only 3G plans.

Its an EE sim, T-mobile seems to be EE from what i read. And thats what the router is pulling from the cell tower i think, as i put in the EE apn detaios.

Still I do wonder why it's saying the provider is T-M UK. I'd expect it to be EE.

Would it be possible to put the SIM in a phone & text NUMBER to 150? Maybe that router can even do SMS?

I agree its quite odd. It can send and receive SMS, and ther Number is definately EE as its connected with my EE account, and the sim has EE on it

It could be an EE 3G plan migrated from T-M. What does NUMBER respond obscuring your no.?
