Can’t purchase add-ons for 4G Mobile WiFi

Hello
I have a EE PAYG 4G Mobile WiFi that has run out of data. I can no longer connect to it and it doesn’t turn on for more than 5 seconds, but it is fully charged.
I have topped up money but I am unable to buy add-ons for data. I cannot connect to the mobile router by WiFi, every time I try add-on.ee.co.uk it tells me I need to turn off WiFi and connect to the EE network, which I do not have. I am doing this from a mobile phone that isn’t with EE, so I’m just trying to buy add-on for the router.
I also have an EE account but the router is not paired with the account so that is basically useless.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
