5g mobile broadband blocking certain apps

i recently purchased a 5g mobile broadband prepaid simcard so i can use my laptop for gaming on the go. i get brilliant speeds and can play certain games with no issues but whenever using th 5g broadband i cant use discord or steam. anybody have any insight on how to fix the issue? preferably a solution not requiring the use of a VPN.

It might be the to do with the IP Type being IPv4v6, setting this to IPv4 Only can sometimes solve issues like this.

Where this setting exists depends on the type of router you have, but it is usually either in the Data Connection settings or within the APN Profiles.

Or is the SIM Card inserted directly into the laptop?
