Some months ago the light on my 5G Smart Hub stopped working. The Hub is working but there are no lights to indicate the status. I’ve gone into settings and can’t find anything there.
The Hub is still within warranty (it’s about 9ths old) but before I go into an EE shop I thought I’d ask the forum.
The lack of status lights became an issue in the last couple of days as our service kept dropping (resolved with the help of this forum - changed user profile to “IPv4” only - it had been on “IPv4 v6”) but the Hub gave no visual indication of what was going on.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Lapwing1
I can understand why no lights could be an issue especially like you say when your signal has dropped.
You could give one of our guides a call to see if they can give you any advise on this.
Here are the details on how to get in touch Contact Us | Help & Support | EE
Thanks

Thanks for your message. I was trying to avoid contacting support tbh as it's too time consuming and I have no confidence in there being a solution other than to replace the hardware due to a faulty light. I'd be surprised if there's a setting-related solution given there's nothing to be found on the internet!
I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure how posts get marked as having a solution - I'd suggest contacting customer support ant be defined as a solution to a problem!
