Hi,
Someone kindly donated a 5G hub (HH20C) to me. However I cannot access the web page interface (192.168.1.1) as I don't have the password. I have asked the donor for the information from the "Keep Me Card".....but they can't find it. Also some bright spark has removed the "Product Label" from the base of the unit in the past.
Even if they had changed the web password, I should be able to do a factory reset and use the original password. As I explain though neither source of this information is available.
This is NOT the same as the wifi password (that I do have).
Is there any was to trace/regenerate a web interface password? eg if I take the unit cover off, is there any info there that will allow me to get a password? ....perhaps from EE technical support.....and if there is, how do I get the cover off?
It seems a shame to consign this valuable unit to landfill.
I haven't got an EE data sim yet. I'm loathe to get one until I know that I will be able to customise the HH20C.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

@GaryTG1 If Admin as the password doesn’t work then unfortunately nothing can be done to get the correct password. You might have to factory reset it first in case it has previously been changed. There should be a small hole on it with the word reset next to it and with it powered on push a pin into that hole for around 30 seconds as this will factory reset it. Then try admin

Hi. Thanks for trying to help. Before I try the factory reset (against the possibility that the original owner might find the "Keep Me Card"), could some kind soul confirm that their HH20C 5G hub does indeed have the "Product Label" on the base or the "Keep Me Card".....with the web interface password shown as "Admin"......
I know this is a common default password for routers but is it true for the HH20C 5G hub?
Thanks in Advance

@GaryTG1
Great to hear you're looking to reuse a hub to avoid landfill and reduce electronic waste!
For security the Admin password is a random string of characters, which are only recorded on the label at the base of the router.
It doesn't usually come with a "keep me" card.
If the label has been removed, there won't be a way to determine the admin password unfortunately. Factory reset will only reset the password back to the one that is shown on the label.

Hi,
Actually the "Keep Me Card" is shown as part of the contents on the leaflet that is in the HH20C box....but it was missing!
Is there no information that let's a "new" valid admin password be generated? ie if I knew (or could find) the Serial number, IMEI, MAC address etc.
Maybe the "random" password is actually generated by an algorithm that needs the embedded IMEI etc. If EE can't help, could Askey (the hub manufacturer) help? If so, how would I contact them?

I finally got the white plastic cover off the EE 5G Hub (HH20C). All I could find that might be a clue to the Web interface admin password was a small QR code label. The QR code decodes to:
41F5D009674,0833EDFAE45E,BF953,FA
Is it possible to get the missing web admin password from this?
Yours Hopefully,
Gary
