Hi there,
I'm moving from the 5G Smart Hub HH20C mobile router to a fixed line broadband connection at home (still with EE) and they have said I don't need to return the 5G Smart Hub.
I was thinking of using this with another SIM, if possible, so am just wondering if this device is unlocked, or still locked to EE. I got it in February 2024.
Thank you.

It might depend on the firmware version you have in the device.
I have the same device (HH20C) and although it is unlocked for any SIM, the EE firmware update V01.11 software locked the device to the EE network only.
Prior to this on firmware version V01.10, the device connected fine using any SIM.
I've tried mine with both EE sim and Three sim, with it only connecting with the EE sim now (previously on firmware V01.10 it would connect fine with EE and Three sim).
EE are fully aware of this issue but either don't have or won't provide a fix (won't provide a means to roll back the firmware to V01.10 and don't have a newer firmware that resolves this issue).
