Hi there,
I've recently moved over to EE for my internet. I am paying £50 a month, on an 18 month contract for the 5G EE Mobile Home Hub unlimited 100GB package. And using this to ethernet into my laptop for gaming. I went for this option as I am house sharing and don't have the ability for an engineer to install a router into the house etc.
The speed is good, however I get this 500ms lag spikes and whenever I am playing Valorant etc, it says network connection or High ping issue.
I have tried everything to try and stabilise the connection but to no avail. IPv4/6 differences etc. I am not that bothered by the speed just so as much is that it is consistent and stable. But it is not
I am thinking of cancelling as a result of this.

My 5G Home Hub is constantly flickering between Aquad and Green. Have tried getting a constant green fixture, but again to no avail.
Have called EE home support and have been very unhelpful. I understand wired connection broadband is GOATed, but I thought this mobile 5g Home Hub unlimited data (giving 100mb speed which is very good) would give a stable connection.

What means "GOATed"?
Are you thinking of CGNATed? If so, it's the other way round. Mobile connections are CGNATed but fixed Home BB isn't.
