5G EE router (QTAD52E) - invalid SIM

Hello everyone,

My 5G EE router, model QTAD52E , is giving an INVALID SIM error with any SIM card I'm trying, even with an EE sim.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any solutions?

Maybe I need to set up the correct APN settings?

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi @HDaddict

Thanks for coming here.

Does the EE SIM card work in another device?

How long ago did you purchase the router?

Leanne 🙂

What are your APN/Profile settings?

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)

The SIM works just  fine on a smartphone

I checked the APN settings and only the dial settings had a value in it.

Do you know what values I should insert in this screen?

Thanks

Yes, your Profile is not fully populated. Refer to EE APN Settings: Where to find them to find suitable values.

I can't find the correct values for:

IP Type

Dial number

Protocol

Any ideas?

Try:

  • IP Type = IPv4/IPv6 or play around with what the drop-down offers you.
  • Dial No. = *99#
  • Protocol = PAP
