We have two 4G mini routers in a house of with five occupants. There are three games consoles and five mobile phones connected. one router upstairs and one down stairs. The connection is very very slow or in most cases wont connect at all. We have tried the routers in various locations and beside windows to see if the building is effecting the signal but it does not work consistently. can you please advise how we can achieve a consistent dependable signal?

That is some high demand electronics over 4G. Have you checked coverage and any local network issues.

I have checked the network issues and there aren't any. I suspect the problem is the building having thick walls and we have large trees around the building also so looking for any suggestions on how we can boost the signal

- Check Signal Strength: Ensure the router is in an area with a strong 4G signal.
- Restart Router: Power off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
- Verify SIM Card: Ensure it’s correctly inserted and activated.
- Update Firmware: Check for and install any available firmware updates.
- Check Network Settings: Verify APN and other network settings.
- Reset to Factory Settings: Restore default settings if necessary.
- Test Another Device: Connect a different device to the router to identify if the issue is with the router or the original device.

All these things have been tried. We found a place where the signal to an area was better but still not the best. Looking for advice on what we can do to boost the signal around the house taking into account thick walls and surrounding trees.

Is this the wireless connection between the devices and router? Or the onward connection to the mobile network?
