4G Mini-Hub Dongle password

I have received from EE a Dongle (Mini-Hub) whilst my Fibre cable is being repaired. It is asking me to log-into the UI where I have an SMS outstanding. It will not allow me to enter any of the passwords, either from the card or Google recommended passwords. Clearly I have screwed up somewhere. Is there a default password I can use to log-in or some other method of obtaining a fresh password?

Ah, just tried to access a frequent website and now I can gain access although at a slow speed. It has done this on a random basis a couple of times last week.  Something 'intermittent' in the hand-shaking? Unless it's something obvious let's not waste too much time investigating this. I am hopeful Openreach will turn up later today.

I'm surprised the carrier on mobile is BT. Don't you have an EE SIM?

The SIM on my mobile is EE. Aren't they both the same nowadays? When my BT contract terminated last January I was 'obliged' to move over the EE. So now I have everything with EE.

Not on the mobile network. It's EE New BB that id's as 'BT'.
