I have received a letter in the post stating I am entitled to a shortfall payment as I was part of the 'buy holiday' scheme between 2018-2022 where the pay temporarily dipped below National minimum wage. It's asking me to fill in a form to claim this but no form was included, also the contact email looks a bit suspicious [email protected]. My old employee number and my full name is on the letter.
Could someone please confirm if this is a scam?

Thanks Katie_B. The letter also had a deadline on which passed before I received the letter. Would this be an issue?
I will try call HR during opening hours

I also queried this, as I recieved the letter late.
After emailing HR they advised the deadline was for payroll purposes and they will process the payment in the July payroll cycle instead of June.

Hi so do I really need to call HR if you can just email the address on the letter? Has anyone been paid out yet?
Thanks

Hi @Wishes_20
Do you have the details to get in touch with our HR team?
If not, I'd be happy to send over details of how to contact them.

Do you have an email address for them?
I don't want to waste time calling to then be told to email anyway

Hi @Wishes_20
Please use the email address that was provided on the letter.

Hi there I have had the same letter this morning, I'm still very suspicious about sending all those details to a random email address.....

@Paulg77
We can confirm the letter is legitimate, if it shows the same @BT.com email at the top of this thread.
However, for your peace of mind I'll send you private message. Please check your inbox and get back to me when you can.
Thanks

Please send my the same email. Or can you not get the team involved to message me directly?
Thanks
