Hi everyone,
I am an ex-employee of EE Limited / BT Group, and I need some quick guidance to clear a background verification check for a new job.
My CV lists my title as Technical Service Guide (which was our day-to-day operational and team-facing branding), but my legal employment contract states Service Advisor. The actual day-to-day job roles, duties, and responsibilities for both titles were completely identical.
Interestingly, when my new employer contacted BT/EE HR for a reference check, HR verbally confirmed my title as a Service Guide. However, my new employer's automated onboarding portal strictly requires an official document to clear a system flag.
I am looking to get a brief statement or reference letter reflecting the Technical Service Guide title. More than that, I just need an official document stating there is no difference between the roles and responsibilities and that this is simply a company/team nomenclature variance.
Does anyone know:
Which specific HR or payroll email I can contact to request a brief statement or reference letter reflecting this Technical Service Guide title or confirming the nomenclature policy?
For those who left, is there a standard document EE/BT can issue that explains these internal team naming conventions?
Any direct contact emails or advice would be a lifesaver. Thank you!
