Xbox game pass

Moved from Bt broadband to EE (was upgrading phone contract and was cheaper to move over) and was told I got Xbox game pass free for 12 months.

Just got an email from BT this morning to say it had been cancelled (I assumed it would just roll over as BT and EE are the same company)

how do I go about getting my free 12 months from EE?

I activated my free six months game pass ultimate today and I already had an ultimate game pass free with my Xbox for a year which was due to end in March. Once I activated it my Xbox hasn't added the six months on. It just says valid until the end of March so I lost six months. I called EE and was rudely told it's tough luck! They told me to contact them in March and they will add the six months but I'm not holding my breath! Plus how do you get the game mode to work?
