Hi we have moved over from BT to EE. Have gone from 500mbps to 900mbps which one the previous speed we never had any issues. Now the PS5 online gaming is lagging. Engineer came out and reset everything. Have but Ethernet cable into hub. Tried different online games. Still lagging. Spoke to technical team who have said everything is running at the speeds it should. They suggested to speak to the manufacturer of the console. Has anyone done this? If so what was there response?! It’s very annoying as this should be a better speed and no change to service.

Hi,
I'm just wondering if you sorted this. We are having the exact same problem with my sons ps5. It's just constantly lagging. Everything else connected to broadband is fine it's just the flipping playstations
Kind regards
Angie😊

Hi, I have the exact same issue, we were moved from BT to EE. Never once had any issues with the BT connection but EE is frankly terrible for the PS5.
when I perform a Speedtest on the actual console I am getting well over 100mbps download speed which should be more than enough. But every game I try to play I just experience lagging constantly.
We have had about 5/6 engineers out to the house messing about with it but nothing seems to have changed. I have tried changing all sorts of settings on the actual console which is meant to improve this, admittedly it has but only by the smallest amount.
I wouldn’t recommend EE wifi to anybody I know. Constant problems!!!

Hi @Noahjohnson
I know it isn't ideal, depending on where your router is, but have you tried a wired connection? I find it offers a better connection for gaming.

I can't really use a wired connection due to the layout of the house and where the router is located. I can not move the router either as this is the only place in the house it can be placed.
As mentioned before I never had an issue with a wireless connection before the changeover to EE so that's the frustration.
Cheers

I understand the frustration, @Noahjohnson
The only thing I can suggest is speaking with our Technical Support team so they can continue with troubleshooting.
We do have some fantastic, knowledgeable community users though. Hopefully someone will be along to offer any other bits of advice.
