Hi there i am on the 900mbps package with the smart hub plus, but i want to get the new wifi 7 router, especially as it is compatable with my PS5 pro and for any future devices that support this. However my account online says i can add wifi 7, but when i click on it, it only shows my package i am on and no option to add wifi 7, i l know you get it as standard on the 1.6gbps package but i dont want to order that package as it will extend my contract.
I just want to add on the wifi 7 router for a monthly price or outright buy one as i also have seen them on ebay for about £100, if anyone can point me in the right direction on how to get the router from ee as i am not getting the option for it on my account and if the ones for sale on ebay will work once i plug it in, no need to ring ee and get it activated? Just plug and play that would be great as i always though you could buy the router outright from your supplier.

You need to call CS & order it.
The ones on eBay are EE property.

Hello
Question if the routers on eBay belong to EE why are they being sold openly?

@daffyduck000 : Obviously unlawfully!

Quite a few on ebay, about to buy one as EE do not provide the wifi 7 router on the 900 package i am signing up to.
Also for sale on amazon...EE do not seem to care.
I am moving from BT to EE and i queried why no router was in the paperwork /basket and was told as i was "upgrading" i did not need a router as i already have BT equipment..this can't be right..if it is it is very tight of them!

You can add the Smart WiFi Pro add-on at £10pm which will provide you with the Smart Hub Pro and Smart WiFi Pro extender. This is a service package, meaning if the one Extender is not sufficient you can request another at no extra cost, as well as benefitting from a £100 credit to your bill if you are unable to get 100 Mbps in every room after all other routes have been tried. Buying from Ebay means EE cannot support you as you did not get the equipment from them, and as this is technically still the property of EE they could theoretically switch them off at any time using the serial number.
On the 900 Mbps, no one gets the WiFi 7 Smart Hub Pro by default, but instead the WiFi 6 Smart Hub Plus. Usually you do get the SH+ when changing to 900 Mbps, even from BT.
