Did you mean:

Cs2 net jitter

Hi so I use to have a bt router not full fibre and I would get net jitter in cs2 which would stutter my game so then I changed to ee full fibre 300mbps download and 50mbps upload with a game mode feature and it did fix the net jitter. However a few weeks ago I’ve been getting net jitter but my ping is always low and good and I’ve tried so many things to fix the net jitter and it doesn’t fix anything I’m connected to the router via cat 6 outdoor Ethernet cable so I wondered if the cable is faulty but it’s not and I’ve done so many internet and buffer tests but they’re good and every other game is perfect but cs2 is just giving me net jitter problems so I don’t know what to do.

Hi @Mtttt-10,

Welcome to the community.

It sounds like you’ve already done some really useful troubleshooting here.

As you're using a wired Ethernet connection, your ping remains low, your speed tests look good, and other games are unaffected, this doesn't immediately point to a fault with your Full Fibre service or Ethernet cable, especially if you've tried another Ethernet cable.

You mentioned you had Game Mode, can you try to turn this off in the EE app and then test CS2, before switching Game Mode back on and see if there is any difference.

It is also worth trying to simply restart the router to see if that helps.

If those checks are all fine and the issue remains isolated to CS2, it a suggests it may be related to the game's servers, the route to the servers, or CS2-specific settings.

It would be useful to check whether the problem occurs on all servers or only certain ones, and whether any other CS2 players are reporting similar issues at the same time.

Let us know how you get on. 🙂

Hi Michael thanks for replying and yes I’ve turned off game mode and tested but no difference and also I’ve resetted the router many times and I’ve also tested it in so many cs2 servers but they’re all the same. This has been happening for weeks now I’ve tried so many tricks yet none of them worked.

Thanks for coming back to me @Mtttt-10.

If those steps haven't worked, I'd recommend giving our tech guides a call so they can see if there is anything else that they'd suggest to try.
