If you have enabled auto updates on your app then, once this version has been rolled out to you, you will log in and see the new experience. If you have not enabled auto-updates, we will provide you with a few prompts to update the app

A small number of customers are seeing a notification on their device after updating their My EE app. We are investigating why this notification is displaying incorrectly, and we’re working to fix this.

Why, exactly, did EE now decide to add a rather unprofessIonal, cheap-looking and slow animation to the My EE app every time it's opened? Now I have to wait for this rather unremarkable and useless animation to complete every single time I open the app, which takes a good few seconds that will add up over time as I keep launching the app into a rather significant waste of time. I'm seriously considering just uninstalling the app at this point and using My EE via my phone's browser instead, given how much worse the app seems to have gotten over the past month or two.

Triggered over an animation and a few seconds. 😂😂 uninstall mate. Use those few seconds and make it longer by logging in on your browser. 😂😂

Seeing a though you've failed to understand this, I'm going to make it clear that, on it's own, the animation isn't too big of a deal despite how unprofessional and cheap it looks. The reason I'm so annoyed about it and the app in general is because of how much worse it's gotten across the board for performance since they released the redesign, as though EE are actively choosing not to prioritise more pertinent concerns here.
The app's performance is absolutely abysmal, even on a high-end processor/SOC(The Apple A15 in my case), with significant stuttering and lag when scrolling and less fluidity animation-wise than one would expect as a result of experiences with other, more performant and fluid apps(including the old My EE app). suggesting that very little thought was put into optimising the app at all on any devices.
Then, EE decided that it'd be more important to add this horrendous animation instead of prioritising any improvements to the app's performance/fluidity, which would have actually given a tangible benefit to the user and made the app more pleasing to use across the board.

We're making changes and updates to the new app all of the time. It's work in progress, hopefully you'll see some improvements soon.

Animation not that big a deal yet you end the post dwelling on it. 😂
app works perfect for me. Much simpler. Everything needed is on the main screen. The old one on sub sections. 
Lag and stuttering. 😬

Why do I keep having a number in the top right hand corner of the app on my iPhone home screen. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, went to see if I had a notification in the chat which I didn’t and even pressed clear and it is still there. So annoying as I like a clean look, everything in folders and without notifications.
