Hi there I have a device and number on my account that has almost been paid off at end of this month. The person I got the device for let me down and didn’t make me payments and I ended up paying the whole 2 years. I contacted EE regarding cancellation of services on this number after contract has expired and been told will be on 8th of May. However will this number be on my EE account and app once this happens?

If you've been given the date of the 8th of May for cancellation, then I'm confident this is all going to go through.
You may still see it on your online account for a while after this, just so you can reference any charges, but it should disappear once everything is fully clear.
We'll still keep a record of this at our end though, just in case you ever need to contact us in reference to this in the future.
