EE blocking non-mobile users from logging-in?!

Urgent question for EE support

I am a broadband customer. I currently have 2FA turned off, and can not use 2FA via SMS. I do not have a mobile device and my landline number no longer converts SMS to speech for 2FA. The last couple of times I have logged-in to my EE account online it prompts me to give a mobile number for 2FA, but allows you to Skip This a couple of times...

Now, I am unable to log-in as there is no option to bypass the "Add your mobile number" webpage and access the account. While the majority of people may have mobile devices, there are still many people who do not. Why has this happened if 2FA has always been turned off? And, as a person without a mobile device/number: how do I log in now?

That is true! I have an EE BB a/c & can login to it but that's cuz I supplied a (non-EE) contact mobile no. for 2FA.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
