I have just been on the app and it does not give me an option to cancel

Thanks for coming to the community.

The app won't give you the option to cancel the direct debit, just to change the date. 

If you login to your EE account through your browser, you'd have the option to cancel the direct debit in the Bills & Payments section, or you can speak to our guides on 150.
