My EE App update v5.16.2

Christopher_G

To give you the best My EE app experience possible, we’ve released a new update for your app. This includes some important background enhancements which will further improve your service.

If you see one of the below screens or a maintenance screen, which doesn’t allow you to update to the latest version, then head to the Apple and Google Play app stores on your phone to download the update manually.

Hello.

I had the same issue...whether I fluked it or not here's what I went through to get it to work...

Updated manually from Google play store. That didn't work, so I restarted my phone...nothing. I then wiped the cache, nope. So rather than reinstall I force stopped the app..it worked!

Maybe if you have an android phone you can repeat my steps and it will work for yourselves.

Hope it helps, apologies if it doesn't.

Thanks.

Just manually updated app from Play store, still getting "the app is being improved".

Nothing else, why is this?

@Huskydad   Try wiping the cache as mentioned in the post above yours.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Just uninstalled it then rebooted phone. Re-downloaded from playstore and it now works.

Sort your app out fgs, shoddy service unacceptable, can't even call ee to talk about a problem you haven't sorted out in 2 months

Hi @Nathan5346

Have you tried updating the app through your phone's app store? Are you able to log into the My EE desktop site?
Chris

This also worked for me, thanks for the heads up

Yes and that didn't work, a member suggested manually force stopping the app... That worked, maybe you should be advising your customers to do the same?

I cannot talk to ee on 150 I get this.....

I can not believe that people can not try a few simple things ie a process of elimination and think for themselves when they have any issues and instead they think that kicking off is how to handle an issue.

That’s it no more if people can not think for themselves and even look at other posts on this forum about this app that’s been updated and it’s been this way for awhile now then they need to put the phone down and  get to a pc to access their online account.      Perhaps people would be better off not using a smart phone because it’s outsmarting them.
