Hi all,
Since February this year I've been getting constant texts every month from EE. I'm not an EE customer and have only created my profile here to seek help. The texts appear genuine and correspond seemingly to someone having made an account and setup some broadband as I get texts saying the bill is available to view. I've checked with family to rule out them using my number but nobody is an EE customer.
How can I rectify this? I can of course block the number but that doesn't truly remedy the problem as my mobile is still seemingly connected to someone else's account and they must surely at some point need their own number associated as to get two factor authentication etc

Whilst I admire your motivations here, I have a horrid feeling that getting this traced back to a specific user will be an uphill struggle with very minimal chances of success.

I'm not looking to find the person haha I'd just like my number off the account and wondered if anyone knew how? I'm not an EE customer so unsure if I can call their support hotline for free (I'm Lebara)

Thanks for coming here and bringing this to our attention.
As your not an EE customer I'd recommend calling 0800 856 6000.
The team will be able to get this reported for you and get your number removed from the account.
