Logging in to EE app from overseas

Test again , despite its promise to allow “access any time, anywhere” I was unable to log in to the EE app when travelling overseas this week. When is EE going to fix this? And if no plans to fix it, don’t say that the app offers access from anywhere!

Where are you?

Can you do other things on your phone? Is only access to the EE app that doesn't work?

@tombbb  Your not restricted to only using the app in the UK you can use it anywhere in the world where you have a data connection.   As I’ve done many times outside the UK.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks @Chris_B You are luckier than me then. I also travel a lot and unfortunately it is my experience that I am not able to use the App properly when travelling. Most recently, in Ethiopia, I was completely unable to log in. On previous occasions (places like South Africa, Saudi Arabia, France, USA) I've been able to log in but do not get full functionality, such as gifting data. In the UK, the App works perfectly.

@tombbb  Out of curiosity did your monthly contract allowance reset while you’ll was outside the UK and then you tried to gift data ?  If that’s the case that’s why you could gift data until your back within the UK.   It’s not that the app wasn’t working you just can not gift data if the allowance resets while your abroad.

You can only not gift after your allowance resets when you are in a country where you can't use your UK allowance even with the roaming pass for that country, i.e.  ROW Zones 3, 4 & 5, e.g. Ethiopia. Places like South Africa, Saudi Arabia, France, USA would be OK for gifting.
