I have linked the device to mobile app on my own mobile as I let my son use the main mobile to which the EE sim is with (I am account holder). It is still not linking ir showing me access to his full account / bills and options etc. I can only access advice or shopping links etc.
As he is abroad now in Austria on a school ski trip until 19th Dec, I want to ensure that he is fine with roaming and that his plan is definitely just a small daily charge, which allows him to use his allowance.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Fino_79
Welcome to the community.
You can find information about roaming here on our roaming tool. It explains the charges for using a phone abroad. If your son is able to call and message you, the phone will be set up for roaming.
If you would like to double-check everything, and get some help linking the accounts, I recommend following @Schockwave's advice and speak with our customer support team.

Hello @Fino_79 ,
Welcome to the community,
This is not customer service but a public forum and we have no idea who you are or access to accounts. I would suggest you speak to customer service to get this looked into.

Within the EU, the £2.59/day charge is the default position in the absence of any add-ons or inclusive extras. So the only reason it won't apply, is if you have "inclusive" EU roaming as part of your plan.
As mentioned by Christopher already, if your son's phone is working for calls & texts, then he is roaming.
