EE Web SIte "Blocked"

Trying to log in to my account at ee.co.uk.  I click Login then enter username and password. The site then put up the top banner and a bottom banner, then the circle of dots goes round for ages, the same incomplete page then reloads, again and again, probably 5 or 6 times, before ending up with "BLOCKED"  Now just going to ee.co.uk is "blocked"

Some anti-bot mechanism probably.

And now it works perfectly. No idea what changed.

I assume a glitch at EE Towers. Not impressed with the web site, though.

Tried a different browser.

Make sure you're not using a VPN. Assume you're in the UK as well?

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Have done that. Yes, UK. No, No VPN, straight through EE's own router.

Have tried Firefox (my usual) and Chrome.  Have also cleared cookies and cache. Also disabled all plug-ins. Tried on my Android phone with Opera and it worked fine (through the same router)

 On my laptop almost any page other than ee.co.uk home page gives me "blocked"

  • Try your mobile not on WiFi but on the mobile network.
  • Try clearing your browser cache.
  • Try restarting your router.
