To maximise my parental control, I normally turn off the data on my kids phone from the EE apps or website to ensure they are not on the phone all night after the WiFi has been paused. Why is it everyday that I cannot perform this action after 10pm. It then. One back around 1am, which means having to stay awake to remember to turn it off. Please help with this as it’s really annoying. I know others have asked similar questions in the past and I cannot see a conclusive answer to this question.

I only took out EE as they assured me I can turn off the data whenever I want (I explained to EE it’s for when my son is at school) and EE told me it would turn off immediately. That’s clearly not true as there is a long delay. EE has hoodwinked me into taking out a SIM with them under false pretences. What else can I use to turn off data. iPhone settings is useless as he can use an extra ‘one minute’ PER APP every time I turn it off so that system is flawed. I need a plan C. Help!

I’m using both - EE router and also data controls via the SIM. EE router is irrelevant when he’s at school. I need to be able to turn off the EE data when he’s at school. This is what I told EE when I bought the EE SIM but it’s simply not true as it transpires it can take up to 24 hours to take effect. Pointless.

All network changes can potentially take 24hours to complete, hence the disclaimer being in-place. The overwhelming majority are a lot quicker.
