Can't link my phone to my EE account

I am trying to link my new sim in my phone to my EE account. I get to the point in the process where I say that I pay the bills for the phone and then it says 'We're having trouble linking your products'. It's been like this for 2 days now.

Is there anything to fix this?

Well that's good... you have to pay EE to get the issue solved...

Been having the same issue for 6 months. Every month, I have to phone them up to get them to email the bill.

Going in circles with the support and same answers everytime. Went through the pain staking process of creating new email address to try and resolve it, but same issues on trying to link the account.

Latest correspondence is that it will be fixed by end of September/ first week of October. Won't hold my breath.

 

Just popping by to say, May 2026, still having the same issue for months have had another week this week of being given the run a round by tech support.  Ages on the phone, will call back, then they dont bother calling back.   I got caught out on a trip to France for a week.  Used to easily do roaming by text soensured I had enough balance to pay the weeks roaming to find I couldnt even do that as no mobile coverage whatsoever and no ability via wifi to access account to sort eu roaming.  Completely stuck for a week with no phone, no sat nav and a hire car Id opted out of sat nav as Id assumed Id have it on my phone.    Had a mildly amusing Race the World week but utterly ridiculous treatment of PAYG customers and think its intentional to shift everyone to contracts (yes they tried to sell me broadband/mobile packagages whilst on my ‘technical ‘ calls).   So much for voted 25 times the UKs best provider………except for PAYG customers. 

Just sort your IT out EE and allow PAYG phones to link in app/website.    It used to work just fine.

Thanks for coming to the community. 

Is the SIM card active and showing signal in the UK? What happens when you try and link the pay as you go number in the EE app? Has this been linked in the past and stopped showing your details?
