Can't link EE pay go SIM to EE account

J2MMY

I have received a pay as you go sim card by post. When I select to link it to my existing EE account online, it says there is an error linking and to try again later. When I try later, I get the same error.

The pay as you go sim card is showing signal and can make calls etc.

Thanks

Hi @Christopher_G ,

At last this afternoon tried over the online chat again and they managed to link the accounts.

Thanks for all helps and comments.

Thanks, Shan

Hi Katie,

I am having the same problem as the people above.

I have a brand new Pay As you Go sim and I am trying to link it to a New EE account i have set up for the new SIM.

It comes up with the error message so I currently have nothing linked to my account and no option to Top up balance to the SIM.

How do I proceed from here? .

Thanks,

Jonty

Hi @jonty23

To top up the account you can use our My EE - Make Anonymous Payment online. Once the first top up has made and the SIM has been used, you should be able to link the account.

You can also call us on 150 and the team will be happy to help.

Leanne.

Hi @Keith128

Thanks for coming to the community and welcome to EE 🙂

Have you topped up and used the SIM card to make calls and send texts?

Leanne.

Hi Leanne

l haven’t topped up or made any calls and texts yet. The data is working though.

Thanks @Keith128

Once the SIM has been fully activated by topping up and using the SIM on the EE network you should be able to set up the EE account.

Leanne 🙂

Thanks much
