App and website not showing finance options.

Hi all

Trying to buy an Apple MacBook Air, everywhere tells me I can purchase from £30.19/month, which is the 48 month 0% interest option. When I click to apply for finance the screen either hangs or if it does work, only offers upto 9 months!

This is doing my noodles in, tried in vain to speak to someone and got told to try and different browser!! Safari, Chrome, Duck Duck Go, Firefox and Edge and they still don't work.

How hard is it to have an option on the main telephone menu, where you can report issues with the app or website?

Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks so much to everyone who has sent screenshots!

I have passed those on to our support team so that they can look into this further.

Morning @Lesley_W

I hope you're well?

Do you happen to know when this is likely to get fixed please? I noticed the majority of the site was down for maintenance yesterday, but it doesn't look like the issue was resolved in that fix.

Any information on when they're likely to fix it would be really appreciated 🙂.

Thank you,

Nathan.

Also getting the same issue 3 months later!!

tried buying the Nintendo switch 2 and says finance option is available, go to checkout and only allows me to pay in full.

To top it off, I was trying to use an EE one Up offer of £85 off (so £300 instead of £385) and was told I can no longer use this offer as it’s expired, even though I was waiting for EE to get back to me about the issue.

I was told they would still honour this issue when expired, and now it has they can only offer me £20 goodwill, certainly not good enough for a company like EE.

Keep getting passed around the sales, technical and executive team as well as Glow, and they all just keep me in the same loop. Needs resolving ASAP as i can see it’s not only me.

Hi @JoshEllerby

Is it only the Nintendo Switch 2 that only allows you to buy in full, or does that happen for every high-value product you try?

- Ali

All high end products. I rang an advisor from the sales team and they said the same happened their end.

i noticed that if I continue as a guest then the finance offer becomes available.

My problem now is that EE won’t allow me to use the £300 offer which was available over the weekend as an EE one up deal as it’s expired. I find this very unprofessional as it’s an EE issue that the website is not functioning properly.

Thanks for confirming @JoshEllerby

If the sales team had the same issues when trying on your account, it sounds like it may be linked to individual eligibility, which is why it allowed as a guest. Once you logged in or finalised as a guest the order may have not completed when linked to your account.

Finance options are subject to status, so usually available only when the user is eligible.
