First 3 months with EE terrible

I signed up for a £24 a month sim only contract. So far, I’ve been charged £29.40 this month and I now have a new bill saying 6.55 is due at the end of October. That’ll be £35.95 for my sim only contracts, how does that make any sense? They also charged me £29 last month. EE try to play this game that bill dates come out at a certain time, but either way, you’re still paying more than the contract states. I’ll be cancelling and simply going elsewhere. EE are the best for signal, but no way is it worth the hassle when other companies are still good quality and simple.

Check the dates to which each bill relates. It's normal for a monthly bill date to be set which is not the same as your date of connection. Thus your first monthly bill will be a higher amount than normal, due to pro-rata charges being present. You mention a £24/month plan, and combined charges of £36 - if your bill cycle is approximately 14 days apart from connection date, this would create pro-rata charges of ~£12, a full-month charge of £24, combining in roughly the right ball-park.

That should settle down once your first bill has been produced and you are within the monthly cycle. If you're confident this is not the case, then you have two possible courses of action.

Either post up screenshotted/scanned copies the relevant pages of your bill, for others to have a second opinion - only do this if you're comfortable with those details being on the open internet. Or contact EE-CS on 150, they have access to your individual account and can advise based on viewing your bills that way.
