I am a few months into a SIM only plan with EE. I am in the process of leaving my currently employer but want to keep my phone number from my employer.  They are offering to provide a PAC code to me. Is there any reason why I can’t port this mid contract? I am aware I will lose the existing phone number and I’m ok with this.

any advice?

thanks in advance

Mid-contract of which no.? If the existing no., it will cancel the contract it is on & your employer will be liable to exit fees.

You can port in a number at any point in your contract.

The PAC Code can be submitted by texting PORT to 150 from your EE SIM, which will then instruct you to reply with the number you wish to transfer and then the PAC Code. Your current EE number will be lost once the port takes place.
