Dispite my contract expiring in 2020 I always have a error or issue with pac when I try to upgrade. Iguess its like I am now on pay as you go as I do not owe any money for any phones  tempted to change provider any one else had this proplem.

What do you mean an "issue with pac"?

Do you mean a PAC Code? You dont need a PAC Code to upgrade, you just need to either go to your EE online account and follow the Upgrade route, go to an EE store, or call EE Customer Service on 150 who can look into getting you onto a different price plan.

A PAC Code is for moving a number across from a different network, and it shouldn't ask you for this when following the Upgrade process.

Exactly online it wont let me upgrade without that box requesting a pac

That sounds like you are trying to add a new/additional connection, rather than an upgrade @Albert30.

Are you logged in to your EE account and selecting the upgrade option?
