Was promised when signing up that i could retrieve old landline number which had been cancelled less than 30 days previously. Now on activation day i have been told its not possible. This is for my elderly father who is terminally ill and what i am so annoyed about is that the person i spoke to on phone blatantly lied to me. He said he tried the old number and it rang so that meant it had been given to someone else. I immediately rang the old number myself and it said not recognised and when i told him this he said he could give no response because he knew he had lied! Please can someone help me retrieve the old number? The new number does not even have the same area code which my elderly father cannot get his head around
