Digital Home Phone Switch - Can I still use my old Router?

Hi, sorry for the basic question...

I've been sent s Smart Hub Plus to switch over to a digital home phone and my switching day is tomorrow.

I'm fully aware that I would need to change over to this to get my landline to work etc. but I have a home CCTV system which is setup with my current router. From looking online, it appears that changing routers will probably stop me being able to access this system from my app on my phone (I have a HDD with monitor in the house but the app is infinitely more flexible/accessible etc.). To get my CCTV system setup with a new router I think I'm going to have to pay the team that installed it a fair whack for  a visit and they are not available for about 3 weeks.

So ideally, I would like to continue using my current router for my internet - I'm not bothered about the landline - so I can continue to use this security system with the app. Do you know if my current router will continue to work or will it stop working after my switch day (tomorrow)?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Depends which model of router you have now. Aside from the current EE routers the only other router that would work with DV is the BT SH2. What do you have?

When you come to link your EE router with the EE app you will be given the option to keep the WiFi network SSIDs from your existing router. That should keep your existing devices working w/out change.

If you are willing to lose your landline then you can leave everything as is. Obviously you can't make or receive any calls on your landline until you use the Smart Hub Plus.
