A recent problem seems to have developed with my digital phone. When somebody calls, they can hear me, but i cannot hear them. This happens on both the digital phone handsets I have, and with callers from more than one number.
The handsets are less than two years old, and the batteries are holding a charge.
The volume is up to max on both handsets.
This seems to imply to me that the problem is with the system and not my handsets.
How i can check whether anything needs resetting/rebooting. Would like to eliminiate all possibilites, before resorting to an engineer coming out.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am not very tech savvy.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Midge190422 When that particular fault occurs a normal power off on the EE/BT router whatever one you have clears the fault, has not been reported for a while now, leave it powered off for about 5 minutes before switching it back on again.
When the batteries on the handsets start to go out, the normal fault you will see is the handset losses sync to the router and requires a re-pair to it!

That seems to have resolved the problem. Thank you
