Upgrade Credit Check?

Hi, 

I have seen conflicting information online regarding credit checks for upgrades.

I have been an EE customer for 7 years and have just been through a standard upgrade, can anyone confirm if I will be credit checked?

I only ask as want to understand implications for an upcoming mortgage application.
