Been a customer of EE for 20 years and BT longer. Now they’re ripping me off. So went to change to EE broadband .. all good, got it £7 cheaper. So then I said can I upgrade sim only phone contract to new phone contract ..quoted £42.50 pm, so I said great, as I will be EE broadband I’ll get £20 off that right? No sir, that only works with a credit agreement deal ( hmm nowhere does it say that??) so I said ok, quote me on the £20 off deal… that is £41.99 …what!!! So with £20 off it’s 50p cheaper. What a bunch of cowboys!

Unfortunately it's likely because you didn't qualify for Flex Pay (credit agreement). You can still get the SIM Only discounted tariffs but unfortunately not on a phone plan.
It would be the usual phone plan tariffs on 24 Months, but you would qualify for an Unlimited Data Boost on those plans.
