Transferred in error by EE without PAC code given.

I asked for a friends and family SIM to transfer a second phone number to EE. The SIM arrived and I got a PAC number from Three but did NOT give it to EE due to a change of plan. All should have continued as before. The SIM remained in an unopened envelope. But still the number was ported, and the account with Three cancelled. I am having an awful time trying to get the number ported back to Three. And what is just as bad is that EE have charged me for the new SIM from when it was sent, despite it not having been activated or used..I was most certainly not advised this would happen. I have spent hours trying to sort this out on live chat and am extremely  unhappy and angry that a simple procedure has gone so wrong due to no fault of my own.

If you did not give the PAC Code to EE in any way, then there is no way in which your number could have been ported to EE.

Are you sure you didn't give it to the Guide you were dealing with, or enter it as part of an online checkout? There is no way to port your number without EE being given the PAC in some way.

Otherwise, if you asked Three to cancel your plan without porting it to EE your number would have been lost unless Three can reactivate it.

If the ported number is active on EE, your best bet would be to call EE Customer Services on 150 for the SIM and speak to someone about this. Live Chat does not cope well with a complex topic such as this in my experience.
