Looks like this is a problem with Sony taking money via EE has anyone ever been refunded as EE say it’s not their problem basically and to contact Sony can’t get passed the BOT with Sony as I don’t have an account any help appreciated as we have had 4 payment taken out in 1 min !

I've found this has mostly happened to people who don't have playstation accounts and have had the charges made through ee so it's harder to get the money back. It's then also harder to trace the person making the charges since they're not using anything sony related. If you do have an account with them then sony should be able to reverse it straight away, that's what they've said to me when I spoke to them.

We have a playstation account. Have done for years and nothing like this has happened. When we log in to see previous transactions, the unauthorised transactions don't appear. I don't think this is related to the playstation account. I think this is a Sony issue.

Try going thro Boku and claiming it back

I will do. I sent a Zendesk ticket on Friday afternoon so hopefully have a response next week.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem £153 taken I haven’t authorised any but EE won’t do anything and Sony can’t because we don’t have an account (hence why they are fraudulent payments )

Hi mummy45,

You need to contact Boku customer support, they will issue the refund.

EE fall back on their lame third party excuse if you ask them for any support, they genuinely have the worst customer service.

Ask them to put a block on all third party stuff though otherwise it could happen again(not that they care)

Wipe the floor with EE!! I took them to the ombudsman and not only did I have my refund within days, EE credited my account with £50. Don’t back down with EE! They will try their best to fob you off and pass you on to SONY! Don’t even bother with SONY as you won’t get anywhere, all the way with EE!! Tell them to raise the order letter for you to go to the ombudsman!

Good luck! Xx

How do I do I contact BOKU?

I have just been a victim of this and after a week of stress and hours on the phone to multiple companies I have finally sorted out the fraudulent charges.

MY ADVICE, DON’T  BOTHER CALLING EE THEY ARE USELESS AND UNHELPFUL., I will be making a formal complaint as a customer they should be protecting us.

EE will tell you to contact Apple if you have an IPhone, again this has Nothing to do with Apple. It’s not the handset that’s been hacked it’s the number.

SONY APP STORE ARE EQUALLY AS USELESS.

CALL THIS NUMBER…

BOKU +4408081202341

I called yesterday and it has been sorted pretty much straight away.

good luck to all that has been a victim of these fraudulent charges
