Scammed by EE and still not sorted out

I had a plan that was giving me 3 extras out of many options and unlimited calls, texts and data. Along with 30% discount I was paying £32.90 pm. Their salesman on the phone told me, a few months later, that if I’d switch my broadband from Vodafone to EE as well, he’ll reduce my monthly payment to £28 and still keep all the extras. I went with it just to find out that I can now have only one extra and the roaming which is incorporated in the plan. So I’m -1 extra which is the TNT and discovery+ that costs over £15 to past it myself. Therefore, I’m clearly losing and they lied on the recorded phone call, as I specifically asked multiple times if I’ll keep my extras and they said yes. They have told be that they’ll listen to the call over a week ago and after calling them and spending over 20 hours on the phone with different random costumer service people who have no clue, I’ve still not sorted it out. At this point I’d even go back to my previous plan and just accept that they lied but they are so incompetent that they can’t even do that. I’m can’t express how infuriating this situation is. They said they’d call me today between 8-8.15 AM and they didn’t. I called twice and no one was able to do anything at all. Is there anything I can do about these scammers? Like a legal authority that oversees them? Thank you!

@AlexandrosA   Did you read the contract that you were offered and accepted ?     

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

They didn’t read me or sent me any contract. They just told me on the one that they’ll charge me less money and give be the same stuff. I said ok do it. They pressed a button and it was done. Though, they took one of the extras away. So they lied and scammed me

I'm really disappointed to hear that our team hasn't been back in touch as promised to discuss your concerns further. 

I would advise calling again, opening a complaint if you haven't already, and escalating this to a team leader if this still isn't resolved.

Hi Linzi, I have opened a complaint since the 26th of November and called every day ever since just to waste 1h per phone call to hear that they can’t do anything because sometime before them is dealing with it and I’ll need to wait for them to call me after listening to the recorded conversation with Michael on the 25th who changed my plan and confirmed that I’m keep all my extras after specifically asking him about each one of them. Still no call back and just playing Chinese whispers with your call Center and wasted more then 20h of my time which translates to £670 for me if I’d have worked instead of staying on the phone during working hours for nothing.

Thankfully, after hours on the phone and  multiple phone calls it was finally sorted out a few minutes ago. After all, it was mostly a problem of lack of communication from the original person with the rest of the people who were looking into it to explain that they incorporated it into my plan instead of being possible to select it as an extra, though some other way. I’m glad it is sorted now ! 😁
