Refund on overpaid bill

Hi I was just wondering if there is any way I could get a refund on an overpaid bill?
What happened is my DD failed so I just paid the bill manually forgetting that the DD will just try again in a matter of days, so now I have credit in my account.
So is there a way to get that overpayment back so I ring 150? Or can it not be returned.

Thanks

Hi @Mmewse2020

Welcome to the community.

If you speak to our Mobile Care team, they may be able to refund it. Otherwise, it will sit on your account to pay for a future bill.

Never mind the "may" be able to refund it. Its the customers money so give them it back IMO!

@bagitup82   Did you not read the date of this post.   ?     And any over payments will be used towards the next monthly bill if it’s not requested to be refunded and it’s still the customers money it’s just sitting on their account.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Of course I read the date of the post. Thanks for checking this point though - although what resemblance it has I have no idea. I cam across the post as I was searching for an answer.

The trigger here is the “may refund”. It is the customers money so should be their choice to get it back or not - irrespective of if its going to be used towards future bills. What if its a large amount and bills are minimal?
