Question on sim on credit file info..

Hi guys recently took a sim only from EE. I was aware that I would likely get a hard search on my credit file, which isn't a big deal for me at the moment. I have checked my credit file and the new sim only deal isn't showing as a hard search but a "credit agreement, a new comms account". Will this change at a later date to a hard search or it will just remain as a new credit agreement?

It shows as a credit account for the duration of the contract. Once you terminate the contract it shows as a closed account.

NB: If you sign up for 12 or 24 months, that is not the duration of the contract, it is the minimum term and it will continue to be in force (and the credit account show in your credit report) until either you or EE terminate it.

A hard or soft search is just an instant. The record of your credit agreement with EE is ongoing & will keep track of all your payments throughout the duration of your contract.
