I paid my bill late yesterday however I can’t make calls or send text messages.

@ccron  you probably got disconnected for non-payment and now that you have paid It’ll take up to 24 hours before you get a working signal again.    

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
