I am out of contract on a SIM only plan and have tried 2 codes generated via my EE Perks accounts and 2 via blue light card to change to a new sim only plan, I have tried 2 browsers, including in incognito mode  and via the EE app and none will work, I have tried different plans as well and none work. I called 150 yesterday and was transferred round 3  guides, they agree I have a valid code but would not give me the plan I had chosen with the discount of 20% insisting  they could only give me a more expensive  plan as the one I wanted was "online only".

The plan was an unlimited essentials plan which was until today showing as £23 a month so would be £18.40 with discount. It has mysteriously shot up in price today

It  there actually a way to use these codes or are they just a way to get people to call you for a more expensive plan?

Hi @15isto2

I'm really disappointed to hear that you weren't able to use the discount code online with the deal you had your eye on.

You can see the full terms and conditions on our Exclusive Perks for NHS Workers page.

If the plan has increased in price today, then it sounds like this had already been discounted online, so another discount wouldn't be accepted on top again.

The right code to use for an upgrade will be from the Perk Portal directly.

Our Guides over on 150 will be the best people to speak to about all the eligible offers.

I hope this helps,

Linzi

Thanks for the reply

It was not showing as being discounted  unlike others which were available and as I said  I tried using the code on several available plans

I have read the terms and conditions and the plan was within this

I did speak to 3 guides on 150 after being transferred from department to department and they were only able to offer a more expensive plan

Have you tried again today online @15isto2?

Which SIM Only plans are you looking at where the code isn't working?
Do you see an error or what happens exactly?

Linzi

Yes I tired today with 4 codes and the did not , as above it was the unlimited essentials plan, the error message is that the code is not valid

The only code you'll need to use will be one generated from the Perk Portal @15isto2

Please try the one the Guides over the phone advised was valid.

Are you certain you are in the upgrade section, and not trying to add to an additional line (which is already discounted)?

I can see an Unlimited Essentials at £32 per month, is this the one that is giving you the error?

Linzi

Thank you Linzi

2 of the codes I tried were the ones generated via the Perk Portal.

The guides yesterday were unable to process deal that was showing online saying it was "online only"

I was not trying to add an additional line I was using the "upgrade" button

The essentials plan was showing as £23 yesterday, if this was was an additional line with the 20% discount this would still not account for the £32 to £23 drop

Hi again @15isto2.

When looking over our SIM Only options the cheapest option we offer on unlimited data is the No Frills SIM for £27 a month, so if you were seeing Essentials for £23 then this would have definitely been discounted further, even if it was an online exclusive offer.

We sometimes add cash discounts as well as percentage discounts to plans, but it would only be the full price cost of the plan you can add a discount code for.
