I have recently moved to another country, so have stopped using my EE Sim (rolling sim only monthly contract). Previously I have for many hours tried to link that product to my online account, but it proved to be impossible for no good reason (it already took many hours of wrangling to transfer the account to me from a family member, and the product/device has never been visible online since in either my or my family member's online account).
I would like to pay my final bill and close my account, however I cannot do this through my online account because it wasn't possible to link the product, and EE provides no means of contacting other than via phone. I am now based overseas and would need to pay to make that call, which I am not willing to do (especially given how long I ahve previously spent on the phone to EE - it would get expensive!).
I have cancelled my direct debit, but would prefer to settle up the bill rather than leave it unpaid.
1. Is there any other way to contact EE (no online chat function available to me in the app)?
2. If somebody from EE actually reads this, please can you contact me to arrange to close my account and so I can pay my final bill.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hello @Whynoemail ,
Welcome to the community,
You need to give EE 30 days notice to cancel the contract, by phone, there are ways to contact them in my signature, using something like Skype for free, you cannot just stop payment etc, you do have to give 30 days notice.

What final bill? Have you cancelled your contract? You don't get a final bill until you cancel your contract. In the meantime it will just roll on on a 30-day notice basis.
Cancelling your DD still leaves you liable to your debts of paying for your EE contract.
