My plan is ending, but not flexpay. Advice?

Hi all,

Back in March 2024, I started monthly payments to EE for my iPhone 15 pro max 256gb and the plan, EE essential 125gb.  The flex pay for the phone doesn’t run out until Feb 2027 but that is absolutely fine with me as I’m very happy with the phone! The Plan contract ends in March this year. I use around 10% of the data each month and have been for last two years and I don’t want to pay the price for the plan anymore when I am not using it to its full potential! So I have two questions: do I have to renew a plan in March or can I just pay off the phone as I am and get a SIM card separately which is cheaper? If not, can someone advise me on how to go about renewing my plan but at a lower cost with less data as I don’t need it!

Sorry for the long post any words of advice are appreciated. Thankyou !

Welcome back to the Community, @j0yball.

Once you come to the end of the commitment period on the airtime plan, you're welcome to do whatever works best for you with the SIM.

You can switch to a cheaper plan, or you could also opt to cancel if you wanted to look elsewhere, too.

For the handset agreement, you can continue to pay this monthly separately, or you can also opt to pay it off at this point, either is fine 😊

Hi Peter. Thankyou for your response!

You mentioned I can switch to a cheaper plan, is this something I can do through the app/website? Or do I need to call up EE?

Thankyou in advance 😊

You should be able to change plans via your myEE online account, use the "upgrade now" options and locate your preferred plan.

Any change requested via CS on 150 would normally be active before you terminate the call, online requests may sometimes take a couple of days to change over.
